Health and Safety Trainer

Type: Full Time
Salary: £40,000 pa

Safe and Sound has 20 years providing highly professional Health and Safety consultancy and training. We have a requirement for a experienced Health and Safety Trainer to join our team. The position can be either part time or full time to suit as long as its fits with our programme of training courses that we run.

As a Senior Facilities Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in the delivery of a full facilities service including advising and implementing Health & Safety Requirements.

All applicants must have a history of providing Health and Safety Training in some or all of the following:

  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Manual Handling
  • Accident Investigation
  • Office Safety
  • Safety Auditing

If you have experience in delivering IOSH and/or NEBOSH and any other courses backed by professional bodies this would be ideal.

We currently run regular public training course such as IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH Certificate and are looking to expand our training business.

You will work alongside our existing trainers and will form part of the training team.

Health and Safety Technician

Type: Full Time
Salary: Negotiable

The position will be working for Safe and Sound Management Consultants Ltd

The graduate would have ideally studied Health and Safety as part of their degree course. I am looking for a graduate to train in our way of thinking. They will have a lot of exposure to our online Health and Safety management system, AssessNET, and will work with our consultants to assist the roll out of AssessNET to clients.

Another function will be to work as a trainee health and safety consultant assisting our consultants in the field with project works.

As a side project you will also work to support the development team at Riskex (our sister company that produces AssessNET) and provide support to them to assist with testing new developments and learning AssessNET inside out. This will help you when involved in assisting our consultants in rolling our AssessNET to clients.

They will be fully trained and initially will be office based working at our offices in Woburn, Milton Keynes. As experience grows they will be expected to travel to client sites and therefore it is essential that they can drive and have their own vehicle.

Senior Facilities Assistant

Type: Full Time
Salary: £28,000 pa

As a Senior Facilities Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in the delivery of a full facilities service including advising and implementing Health & Safety Requirements.

Summary of the duties:

  • Supervision of contractors and preparation of Risk Assessments
  • Conduct workstation assessments
  • Be responsible for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) and dealing with basic level electrical work.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety related documentation and assessments are up to date.
  • Weekly fire alarm testing, organising fire drills and maintaining log book
  • Supervision of contractors and preparation of Risk Assessments

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH)
  • Working knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk assessments, safe systems of work and DSE requirements.
  • Previous experience of working in a facilities maintenance and health & safety environment
