The IOSH Managing Safely course is designed for managers, supervisors and all those with responsibility for managing health and safety at work. It introduces the delegates to the concept of safety management systems and provides training in the techniques and tools needed to successfully manage health and safety at work.
The course includes an exam and practical exercise for the award of an IOSH Certificate.

Module 2 - Assessing RisksCovers the definition of a risk and the general principles of conducting risk assessments Module 3 - Controlling RisksMethods for reducing risk and how to decide which controls to use. Module 4 - Understanding Your ResponsibilitiesYour requirements under legislation and how the law works. Also sets out the key parts of a health and safety management system. Module 5 -Identifying HazardsThe hazards most relevant to the client?s organisation will be used. Identification of hazards and analysis of risks. Practical management strategies for specific hazard types. Module 6 - Investigating accidents and incidentsCovers how accidents happen and why and how you should investigate incidents.
